What This Stage Actually Is
The Stage 3 experience: your sessions go well. When you set them up right, you get excellent output. The problem is you’re setting them up right by re-explaining the same things you explained last time — and the time before that.
You have some notes or files you reference. They help, but they’re inconsistent, loosely organized, and they require you to copy and paste rather than exist as an actual living context that AI works from directly. You know you should be compounding across sessions. You’re not. Each session starts at roughly the same baseline regardless of all the sessions that came before it.
The intelligence you produce in sessions mostly evaporates. A session ends with insights, clarifications, new frameworks, refined positions — and most of that lives in the conversation log, which you’ll never systematically revisit. The next session doesn’t know what the last session produced.
Stage 3 is the move that changes this. Not incrementally — structurally.
